Residents of St. Kitts and Nevis are now benefiting from comprehensive healthcare services during the North American Taiwanese Medical Association’s (NATMA) inaugural medical mission to the Federation. This initiative underscores Taiwan’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the healthcare sector within the island nation.

Extensive Medical Services Provided

The mission, led by Dr. Charles Hsu, comprises 17 U.S. and Canada-licensed healthcare professionals. From June 1 to June 4, these medical experts are offering free consultations and treatments at various health facilities across both Saint Kitts and Nevis. Patients can access specialists in family medicine, pediatrics, dentistry, pharmacy, internal medicine, acupuncture, and other crucial medical support services.

The medical team arrived on May 31, 2026, and was welcomed with a formal ceremony. In addition to direct patient care, NATMA has generously donated medical supplies and medications valued at approximately US$20,000. This significant contribution aims to bolster healthcare delivery throughout the Federation.

Strengthening International Partnerships

This humanitarian effort highlights the robust collaboration between the United States of America, St. Kitts and Nevis, and Taiwan. The medical professionals traveled to the islands at their own personal expense, demonstrating a strong dedication to serving the community.

Official Recognition and Gratitude

Curtis Martin, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, expressed profound gratitude to the NATMA delegation. He specifically acknowledged the enduring friendship between Saint Kitts and Nevis and Taiwan, emphasizing the positive impact of such collaborative ventures.

Clinic Operating Hours

For those seeking medical attention, clinics in St. Kitts are open from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with dental services available from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. In Nevis, clinics will operate from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, ensuring broad accessibility for all residents.
