Students from Charles E. Mills Secondary School in Sandy Point recently explored the Robert L. Bradshaw Airport during an educational tour organized by the St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA).

Tour Overview

The visit on Thursday aligns with the school’s efforts to deliver hands-on learning experiences. Participants gained in-depth knowledge of airport operations, including the roles and responsibilities of various departments.

Key Areas Visited

Guided by Customer Service Officer Chandesha Mills and Communications Clerk Kimoya Williams, the students toured essential facilities such as:

  • Maintenance department
  • Cargo Shed
  • ID Badge Training
  • Airline Desk
  • Screening Areas 1 and 2
  • Customer Service
  • Immigration
  • Security Screening Point
  • Customs
  • Communications

These stops highlighted how each section contributes to smooth traveler movement and daily airport functions.

Benefits for Students

SCASPA emphasizes that such tours expose young learners to aviation careers and the procedures ensuring safe, secure, and efficient operations. The program welcomes groups from around the world to foster interest in industry opportunities.

“The initiative provided students with valuable knowledge about the aviation industry while encouraging interest in future career opportunities within the sector,” stated SCASPA.
