The U.S. Embassy to Barbados and the Jap Caribbean is proud to announce the 2025 Youth Ambassadors cohort, that includes 4 distinctive college students and one mentor from throughout the area. These younger leaders will go to the USA for an roughly two -week alternate centered on management, civic engagement, and neighborhood service.
Representing Antigua and Barbuda, Uchenna Ohaegbulam is a 16-year-old pupil at Island Academy Worldwide, he’s dedicated to decreasing gang violence and juvenile delinquency. From Barbados, 17-year-old Kehzion Hepburn-Murray of Queen’s Faculty advocates for psychological well being and serves in a number of college management roles. St. Kitts and Nevis is represented by 17-year-old Zyon Harding of Nevis Sixth Type Faculty, who’s energetic in media and environmental initiatives. Christel Sutherland, a 16-year-old from St. Vincent and the Grenadines, attends Ladies’ Excessive College and is concerned in science, tech, service, and the humanities. Becoming a member of them as mentor is Sari Rolle, a Senior Trainer from Dominica, who’s obsessed with youth improvement and creating entry to development alternatives.
The Youth Ambassadors Program is sponsored by the U.S. Division of State and applied by Georgetown CIED. This system fosters mutual understanding and equips younger leaders from the Jap Caribbean with instruments to create optimistic change of their communities.
