Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew of St Kitts and Nevis held talks with Nigerian President Bola Ahmad Tinubu during a visit to Nigeria on Thursday.
Focus on Mutual Priorities
The leaders discussed critical areas including education, food security, agriculture, and cultural exchanges. They explored ways to enhance collaboration between Nigeria and St Kitts and Nevis, supported by creatives and leadership from both nations.
Prime Minister Drew shared images from the meeting on social media, highlighting the in-depth dialogue. “We had a lengthy conversation on strengthening cooperation in education, agriculture, food security, and cultural exchange, as well as advancing deeper collaboration between Africa and the Caribbean,” he stated.
Building on Last Year’s Meeting
This encounter marks exactly one year since their previous discussion at the President’s Villa in March 2025. During that time, Drew emphasized connecting Africa and the Caribbean, referring to Africa as “the motherland”—a view he reiterated in a 2026 keynote address.
The leaders reaffirmed commitments to priority areas, aiming to bridge shared history toward shared progress. St Kitts and Nevis continues to foster stronger ties with Nigeria across development sectors.
AfriCaribbean Investment Summit
Prime Minister Drew is attending the AfriCaribbean Investment Summit in Abuja, organized by Aquarian Consult, to advance these partnerships.
