Stakeholder Workshop Advances Strategy Development
The foundation for this crucial strategy was laid during a National Loss and Damage Stakeholder Workshop held on Wednesday, July 22nd, at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort. The event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders from across the Federation, underscoring a collaborative approach to a national challenge. The Ministry of Sustainable Development, Environment, and Climate Action spearheaded the workshop, highlighting the government’s commitment to tackling climate-related vulnerabilities.
This initiative is being propelled forward with funding from the Climate Action Unit. Essential technical expertise is being provided by Climate Analytics, operating under the auspices of the NDC Partnership Fund. The development of a National Loss and Damage strategy is a key objective for the current administration, reflecting a broader advocacy for such mechanisms within climate-vulnerable regions.
