Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew has confirmed that the Authorities of St. Kitts and Nevis has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the USA to just accept sure deportees and refugees from the USA who are usually not nationals of the St Kitts and Nevis.

PM Dr. Drew made the disclosure on Thursday throughout a roundtable engagement with members of the press.

He defined that the settlement varieties a part of ongoing diplomatic discussions between the 2 governments and emphasised that his St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Celebration administration has been proactive in its negotiations.

Prime Minister Drew careworn that St. Kitts and Nevis approached the matter proactively and clarified that this system “doesn’t contain anybody from outdoors the CARICOM area.” Haiti is explicitly excluded from the settlement.

PM Drew additional assured the general public that strict safeguards are in place. He careworn that no violent offenders or people convicted of sexual crimes will probably be accepted below the MOU.
