Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis. August 27, 2025. The St. Kitts and Nevis Newbie Volleyball Affiliation (SKAVA), with the steadfast help of the St. Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committee (SKNOC), continues its dedication to nurturing youth expertise by worldwide publicity and competitors.

4 younger volleyballers – Shaylee Pinney (16), Celina Alwani (14), Troy Shwamber (12), and Vansh Aidasani (13) – are at present in Tobago representing St. Kitts and Nevis on the Caribbean Zonal Volleyball Affiliation (CAZOVA) U18 Seaside Volleyball Growth Camp and Event, going down from August 27–30.

The athletes are accompanied by Coach Rick Swan, who’s spearheading participant improvement initiatives inside SKAVA.

“We hope that this improvement program supplies precious coaching and competitors expertise for these athletes,” Coach Swan stated, underscoring the significance of alternatives that mix high-level coaching with worldwide publicity.

SKAVA President Glenn Quinlan additionally expressed enthusiasm for the initiative.

“The targets are to get our younger gamers expertise, publicity, and a greater understanding of the sport. This can be a vital step of their improvement and for the way forward for volleyball in St. Kitts and Nevis,” Quinlan added.

The participation of those athletes within the CAZOVA program is made attainable by the continued partnership and help of the St. Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committee.

Notably, all 4 athletes have already gained aggressive expertise at house by the St. Kitts Professional-Am Seaside Volleyball Circuit, which hosts quarterly competitions and serves as a important platform for growing younger expertise.

This newest initiative displays SKAVA’s ongoing efforts to create pathways for rising gamers, positioning St. Kitts and Nevis as an lively participant within the regional volleyball panorama.
