The twin islands of St. Kitts and Nevis are gearing up to celebrate Olympic Day with a vibrant Health Run 2026, scheduled for Saturday, June 20, 2026. The event aims to unite the community in a shared appreciation for sports, health, and camaraderie.

Event Details and Route

Set to commence at 3:00 PM, the Health Run will begin at Alphonso Bridgewater Olympic House in Basseterre and conclude at Warner Park. The designated route will guide participants through Wellington Road, West Independence Street, Bank Street, Fort Street, and Victoria Road, offering a scenic tour of the capital.

Organizers emphasize that the Health Run is an inclusive event, open to all individuals, including walkers. The St. Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committee has extended an invitation to everyone, stating, “Whether you’re an athlete, a fitness enthusiast, a sports club, or just looking for a fun day out with the family, this event is for you.”

Old School Fun Day to Follow

Following the Health Run, attendees can immerse themselves in nostalgia with the “Old School Fun Day” event, also taking place at Warner Park. This secondary activity promises a return to classic games, featuring beloved pastimes such as Hand Tennis, Sack Races, and Lime & Spoon Races. A live DJ will provide entertainment, and refreshments will be available for all participants.

Attire and Recognition

Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable sportswear, including athletic attire. Sports clubs have the opportunity to showcase their branded apparel. The committee has announced that winners of the Health Run will be honored with medals, while all participants will receive certificates of completion.

Registration Information

Individuals interested in joining the Health Run and Old School Fun Day are advised to pre-register. This process will help ensure participants secure their spot for the festivities. Further details on the registration procedure are expected to be announced.

The overarching goal of these events is to foster community spirit and promote an active lifestyle, embodying the true Olympic spirit.
