12th Annual Nevis Mango Festival Announces Dates

The Nevis Mango Festival returns from July 2 to 5, 2026, ushering in summer with a celebration of the island’s premier fruit. This marks the 12th edition of the event, revealed during an official launch on April 24, 2026.

Chef Eric Adjepong Named Culinary Ambassador

Renowned Chef Eric Adjepong serves as the Culinary Ambassador for the 2026 festival. He expressed enthusiasm at the launch, stating, “Being named Culinary Ambassador for the 2026 Nevis Mango Festival is a true honor. I’m looking forward to hosting an evening of mango-inspired cooking, leading a demonstration, and taking part in the judging during the festival.”

Boost for Tourism and Local Economy

Andria Varrier, CEO of the Nevis Tourism Authority, highlighted the festival’s benefits. It supports island farmers, restaurants, hotels, artisans, and small businesses while fostering links between tourism and agriculture.

John Hanley, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, confirmed government backing for organizers. He noted that such events enhance Nevis’s appeal as a travel destination.

Highlights and Activities

Attendees explore 44 mango varieties through tastings, innovative dishes, and Caribbean cuisine. The festival immerses visitors in Nevisian culture and hospitality across four days, featuring cooking masterclasses, family-friendly Mango Mania, Nevis Goes Mango, Pinny’s Beach Bar Crawl, a Passport Food Tour, and the grand finale, “For the Love of Mangoes,” with over 60 chefs.

Detailed Schedule

  • Thursday, July 2: Free opening event at Malcolm Guishard Recreational Park, led by Chef Adjepong, plus Nevis Goes Mango and Supper Club.
  • Friday, July 3: Cooking Masterclass, Mango Mania, and Pinny’s Beach Bar Crawl.
  • Saturday, July 4: Passport Food Tour for authentic island flavors and stamp collection.
  • Sunday, July 5: “For the Love of Mangoes” closes the festival.

Organizers urge early arrivals to maximize enjoyment. Tickets are now on sale for tourists and mango enthusiasts.
