LAWRENCE & BARTLETTE SENTENCED FOR FIREARM OFFENCES

LAWRENCE & BARTLETTE SENTENCED FOR FIREARM OFFENCES

Akim Bartlette of Harris Village, and Kimron Lawrence of Webbes Floor, each on Nevis, have been sentenced to His Majesty’s Jail for offences dedicated between January 1st, 2020, and March 4th, 2021.

Six (6) costs had been initially laid in opposition to each males, particularly Participating in OrganisedCriminal Exercise; Conspiracy to the Importation of Firearm; Importation of Componentsof a Firearm; Misconduct in Public Workplace; Aiding Misconduct in Public Workplace; andPossession of Firearm. On February 4th, 2025, Mr. Bartlette pleaded responsible to thecharges of Participating in Organised Prison Exercise, and Importation of Parts of aFirearm. Mr. Lawrence pleaded responsible to the fees of Participating in Organised CriminalActivity, and Possession of Firearm.

Mr. Bartlette was sentenced to seven (7) years’ imprisonment for Participating in OrganisedCriminal Exercise, and 5 (5) years for Importation of Parts of a Firearm. Mr. Lawrence obtained a sentence of fourteen (14) years for Participating in Organised CriminalActivity, and 5 (5) years for Possession of Firearm. Each sentences are to runconcurrently, with any time beforehand spent on remand to be credited as time served.
