Two Jamaican nationals, who were deported to St. Kitts and Nevis under the Third Country Nationals (TCN) Agreement, have opted to remain in the Caribbean nation permanently, according to confirmation from Jamaica’s Ministry of National Security. This decision was made by the individuals themselves and subsequently approved by the Jamaican government.
Third Country Nationals Agreement Explained
The two Jamaicans were among a group of three individuals deported to St. Kitts and Nevis in May 2026. The third individual in this initial cohort was a national of Belize. The deportations were carried out under the TCN Agreement, a pact established between St. Kitts and Nevis and the United States earlier in the year. Several other Caribbean nations have entered into similar agreements.
