St. Kitts and Nevis First Lady Diani Jimesha Prince-Drew welcomed a delegation of teachers and students from her alma mater, the 115-year-old St. Vincent Girls’ High School, during their visit to the island this week.

Details of the Cultural Exchange

The group, including young students, teachers, and Headmistress C. Latoya DeRoche John, arrived as part of the school’s Building Bridges Beyond Borders cultural exchange tour. St. Kitts representatives accompanied the visitors throughout their stay.

First Lady Prince-Drew hosted the delegation for lunch and shared highlights of their activities across the federation. She expressed delight at the opportunity to welcome the guests and foster connections.

Engaging Activities and Interactions

The visit featured rich cultural engagements, such as a free concert on Wednesday evening at Antioch Baptist Church. The St. Vincent group also joined young ladies from the SKN Teen Club and Miss St. Kitts and Nevis Tresjeur Dedier for shared experiences among peers.

First Lady Prince-Drew noted that the visitors immersed themselves in local culture, including interactions with Masquerade traditions and learning traditional dances, creating memorable moments of connection.
