St. Kitts and Nevis hosts the Miss Labour Queen 2026 pageant tonight, Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the SKNLP National Secretariat on Fort Street in Basseterre. The event kicks off at 7:00 p.m. as part of the annual Labour Week celebrations organized by the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party.
Contestants Representing All Constituencies
Eight contestants from across the island nation compete, each representing one of the eight constituencies:
- Constituency 1: Azalea Juman
- Constituency 2: Denlisa Liburd
- Constituency 3: Eushadika Frances
- Constituency 4: Destiny Huggins
- Constituency 5: Raynecia Hodge
- Constituency 6: Dennidra Evelyn
- Constituency 7: Dejhanee Moses
- Constituency 8: Jewel Smith
Competition Segments
Contestants showcase their skills in five segments on the stage at Carnival Village: motivational speech, talent round, evening wear, creative wear, and interview round.
Crowning Ceremony
Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew, Political Leader of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party, crowns the winner alongside Miss Labour Queen 2025, Shakaylia “Star” Tatem.
Senior Minister Denzil Llewellyn Douglas highlighted the participants on social media and urged the public to attend and support the contestants.
Labour Weekend Events Continue
The Labour weekend began on Thursday, April 23, 2026, with pre-Labour Day public meetings in various constituencies, including St. Paul’s (Constituency 6) on April 23, George Street (Constituency 1) on April 26, Constituency 2 office on April 28, and Conaree Community Centre (Constituency 8) on April 30.
Further commemorations follow: On Sunday, May 3, the St. Kitts and Nevis Trade & Labour Union and SKNLP lay wreaths on the graves of Labour Movement stalwarts. Monday, May 4, marks the Labour Day public holiday with a traditional Labour Day March.
