Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew leads a delegation from St. Kitts and Nevis to Nigeria for the second Afri-Caribbean Trade and Investment Summit in Abuja. Representatives from key economic sectors join him to pursue deeper ties with Africa and expand opportunities for citizens.

Summit Aims to Boost Economic and Cultural Links

The summit, running from March 23 to 28, 2026, marks the second edition following the inaugural event in Abuja. Officials view it as a strategic move to strengthen economic partnerships and cultural connections across the Atlantic.

Prime Minister Drew emphasized that the visit expands St. Kitts and Nevis’ economic horizons and fosters stronger bonds between the Caribbean and African regions. In a recent update, he stated, “We have come to Nigeria to build the Trans Atlantic Bridge of Hope.”

Empowering Youth and Future Growth

The event provides a platform to empower citizens, particularly the nation’s youth, through global exposure and new prospects. The government reaffirms its commitment to positioning St. Kitts and Nevis residents for success in a competitive global economy.

In a national address, the Prime Minister highlighted this initiative as a bold investment in the country’s future. Notably, the program receives no taxpayer funding, ensuring responsible resource use.
