Leaders from across the Caribbean began arriving in St Kitts on February 23, 2026, ahead of the landmark 50th Regular Meeting of CARICOM Heads of Government. The four-day summit, running from February 24 to 27, promises historic discussions on regional priorities.
Early Arrivals and Warm Welcomes
The President of Suriname became the first leader to touch down, greeted by St Kitts and Nevis Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Geoffrey Hanley. That same evening, Curacao Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas received a cordial welcome from the Deputy Prime Minister.
Arrivals intensified on February 24, with Deputy Prime Minister, Attorney General Garth Wilkin, and Senator Isalean Phillip hosting delegations. They extended official greetings to Dominica Prime Minister Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit, Anguilla Premier Cora Richardson-Hodge, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines Prime Minister Dr. Godwin Friday.
Additional dignitaries landing at RLB International Airport’s KayanJet Lounge included Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, Belize Prime Minister John Briceno, Cayman Islands Premier Hon. Andre Ebanks, and CARICOM Secretary-General Dr. Carla Barnett. Ministers and government officials from St Kitts and Nevis ensured smooth receptions for all.
