Basseterre: St. Kitts, Monday, August 18, 2025: A complete of 28 residents from the Federation of St. Christopher and Nevis would advance their instructional research with assist from The Embassy of the Republic of China Taiwan in. The scholarships had been offered to the people in a ceremony held at Palm Court docket Gardens on Friday August 15. 

Expressing congratulatory remarks to the recipients, Ambassador Edward Tao remarked, 

“Over time, the Governments of St. Kitts and Nevis and the Republic of China – Taiwan have remained steadfast of their dedication to schooling and human useful resource growth. By means of our ongoing collaboration, we’ve been capable of supply annual scholarships to help the proficient youth of your nice Federation. This 12 months, we’re proud to award a complete of 28 scholarships—a powerful enhance from final 12 months’s 16. Of those, 25 college students will obtain the Ministry of Overseas Affairs Taiwan Scholarship, and three college students will likely be awarded the ICDF Scholarship. The Taiwan scholarship greater than a monetary grant; it’s an invite to discover your boundless potential.”

Minister of Training, Hon. Dr. Geoffrey Hanley shared congratulatory remarks to the awardees.

So, I urge every of you to do your finest, help one another, be accountable, and be trustworthy. Characterize your households, your communities and your nation with dignity, and excellence. You aren’t simply college students, you’re ambassadors.”

The Minister of Training prolonged welcome remarks to the incoming Ambassador, Edward Toa and thanked former Ambassador Micheal Lin for his providers to the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, whereas reconfirming his authorities’s dedication to a continued partnership with the Authorities and other people of Taiwan.
