The Arvia cruise ship docked at Port Zante in St. Kitts on February 17 and remained anchored for a record-breaking 29 hours before departing Wednesday afternoon. This extended visit brought 5,475 passengers to the island on Tuesday, where they received an enthusiastic welcome.
Extended Stay Boosts Exploration Opportunities
Port stakeholders and tourism officials note that the prolonged docking allowed passengers ample time to thoroughly explore St. Kitts. The unique itinerary enabled the St. Kitts Urban Development Corporation to organize a memorable evening event tailored for Arvia’s visitors.
Frequent Calls Highlight Growing Partnership
Arvia first visited St. Kitts in November 2025 at the start of the annual cruise season. Over the past four months, the ship has returned eight additional times, consistently delivering more than 5,300 passengers per call. The peak arrival occurred on December 8, 2025, when over 5,700 guests disembarked.
Tourism Sector Sees Significant Gains
These visits underscore the rising international profile of St. Kitts’ cruise industry. The nation continues to strengthen ties with major cruise lines amid steady growth in both cruise and air arrivals. Recent seasons show marked increases, providing a vital lift to the local economy.
