Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew has extended his congratulations to the latest cohort of students from the ELEVATE program who have achieved notable success in their Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations. The Prime Minister emphasized that this accomplishment underscores the transformative power of providing opportunities and second chances to individuals seeking to rebuild their lives.

ELEVATE Cohort Demonstrates Strong Performance in CSEC Exams

The 2025-2026 ELEVATE cohort has marked a significant milestone, achieving a commendable pass rate and securing multiple distinctions. The students collectively earned five Grade Ones, six Grade Twos, and two Grade Threes, alongside additional passes across various subjects. Notably, the cohort achieved a 75% pass rate in Human and Social Biology, and all participating students successfully passed both English Language and Principles of Business.

This cohort’s performance is particularly historic as it represents the first group to undertake their CSEC examinations through the dedicated ELEVATE CSEC Examination Centre. This initiative is a key component of the government’s commitment to providing a structured pathway for educational attainment.

The Power of Opportunity and Second Chances

Prime Minister Drew articulated that the success of the ELEVATE students is a powerful testament to what can be achieved when individuals are given the chance to redirect their paths. “The success of these students shows the power of opportunity and the value of a second chance,” Dr. Drew stated, expressing immense pride in the students’ dedication and hard work.

He highlighted that the ELEVATE program, administered by the St. Kitts and Nevis government, is specifically designed to support young individuals who may have previously encountered legal challenges or societal disadvantages. The program aims to provide them with the resources and encouragement needed for personal reform and life rebuilding.

Education as a Pathway to Rebuilding Lives

In a message shared via social media, Prime Minister Drew underscored the role of education as a fundamental tool for societal rebuilding and individual empowerment. He believes that education offers a crucial pathway for young people to refocus their energies, acquire new skills, and forge a brighter future for themselves and their families.

“When we invest in people, meet them where they are and provide meaningful opportunities for personal development, we strengthen our entire society,” the Prime Minister remarked, reflecting his administration’s philosophy on social investment and community development.

A Message of Encouragement and Future Success

Concluding his remarks, Dr. Drew reiterated his congratulations to all students in the ELEVATE cohort for their successful completion of this challenging academic journey. He offered words of encouragement, emphasizing that past circumstances do not need to dictate future outcomes.

“Your past does not have to define your future. Keep going, keep learning and keep believing in what is possible,” Prime Minister Drew urged the students, reinforcing the program’s core message of hope and sustained personal growth.

The ELEVATE program continues to be a cornerstone of the government’s efforts to foster rehabilitation and provide tangible opportunities for citizens to reintegrate positively into society and achieve their full potential.
