Embassy Celebrates Academic Achievements of 14 Nationals in Taiwan
Taipei, Taiwan – The St. Kitts and Nevis Embassy in the Republic of China (Taiwan) recently hosted a celebratory event to honor 14 students from the twin-island federation who have successfully completed their studies at various educational institutions in Taiwan. The 2026 Graduation Party took place on Sunday afternoon, June 14, 2026, within the Diplomatic Quarter of Taipei.
Culinary Contributions and Distinguished Recognition
The embassy organized a buffet lunch for the graduating students, with catering provided by Hooked, a restaurant owned and managed by St. Kitts and Nevis graduates Lennox Bedford and Jaleel Browne. Ambassador Donya L. Francis extended her congratulations to the students, commending their dedication and perseverance throughout their academic careers. To acknowledge their hard work, Ambassador Francis presented each graduate with a bottle of sparkling cider, an honor cord, and a graduation teddy bear.
Commemorative Yearbook Highlights Student Journeys
In recognition of the students’ accomplishments, the embassy introduced the St. Kitts and Nevis Graduation Yearbook. This publication offers a glimpse into the individual experiences of each graduate, preserving their achievements and memories. The yearbook also features messages from key government officials, including Prime Minister Dr. Terrence Drew and Premier of Nevis, Mark Brantley. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Dr. Geoffrey Hanley, along with Ambassador Donya L. Francis, also contributed their well wishes to the yearbook.

Graduation Season Culminates for Students
The 14 students successfully graduated from their respective Taiwanese institutions between May and June 2026, with individual ceremonies occurring over a span of several weeks. Notably, three nationals of St. Kitts and Nevis concluded their academic journeys on Saturday, June 13, 2026.
