Eleven women in St. Kitts and Nevis participated in a self-development workshop under the Chronic Disease Self-Management Program (CDSMP) on May 11, 2026, at Her Majesty’s Prison.

Workshop Overview and Partnerships

The Ministry of Health organized the event in collaboration with community organizers and the Seventh-day Adventist Church as part of the EmpowHERment Project. Participants focused on personal wellness, self-development, and healing through practical tools like education, mentorship, and compassionate support.

These resources address chronic illnesses, mental health, stress, and daily challenges, promoting long-term growth via health, hope, and rehabilitation efforts.

Impact and Collaboration Benefits

The initiative highlights effective teamwork among healthcare professionals, community groups, and social support networks. Officials note that such partnerships restore dignity, confidence, and opportunities for island residents.

The attendance of 11 women demonstrates the program’s success. Organizers emphasize that the workshop goes beyond past rehabilitation, forging new paths to a healthier, empowered future.

Gratitude and Forward Outlook

The Ministry of Health expressed thanks to all partners, facilitators, supporters, and the Seventh-day Adventist Church for enabling the event. On social media, the Ministry stated, “Together, we continue building stronger individuals, families, and communities.”
