A 28-year-old man, Jovan Hodge, survived multiple gunshot wounds after an ambush near his home in Buckley’s Estate early Tuesday morning. The attack occurred between midnight and 12:30 a.m., leaving the victim with injuries to his chest, back, right arm, and left foot.

Details of the Attack

Officials report that Hodge was near his residence in the typically quiet Buckley’s Estate when unknown armed assailants ambushed him. The attackers pursued him while firing several shots. Despite the severity of the assault, described by authorities as brutal, Hodge managed to reach Joseph N. France General Hospital on his own for emergency treatment.

Victim’s Condition

Hospital staff confirm Hodge remains in stable condition in a ward, receiving ongoing care. Police have not detailed the full extent of his injuries but highlight the victim’s remarkable survival.

Police Investigation

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) views the incident as a targeted attempted murder and has launched a full-scale probe. Crime scene investigators swiftly processed the area, recovering items of evidential value. Authorities continue an intensive examination of the case.

Public Assistance Sought

RSCNPF urges the public to provide any information by contacting the nearest police station or reporting anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 707.
