The government of St. Kitts and Nevis delivers a comprehensive update on the Monument of Love and Museums project, transforming the historic Fort Thomas site into a premier tourism and heritage hub.

Revitalizing a Historic Landmark

Community members highlight the government’s dedication to cultural preservation and sustainable growth. Officials confirm steady progress in redeveloping the long-underutilized Fort Thomas site. This initiative breathes new life into the area, fostering national pride through a vibrant showcase of history.

The project promises economic boosts via job creation and enhanced opportunities across the islands. Tourists stand to enjoy an enriched experience of St. Kitts and Nevis’ cultural treasures.

Construction Progress and Vision

Officials express satisfaction with the construction timeline. Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew recently shared a video on social media featuring his Press Secretary outlining key milestones.

“The Symbol of Love Museum and Monuments Project is about pride, legacy, and creating new pathways for growth in tourism, culture, and employment,” the Prime Minister emphasized.

Funded by an estimated EC$30 million, the development aims to establish a world-class destination. It positions the federation prominently on the global stage, embodying values of connection, togetherness, resilience, and shared humanity rooted in Kittitian and Nevisian heritage.

Diversifying Tourism Offerings

This effort diversifies the nation’s tourism portfolio with standout features: a Caribbean History Museum, striking monuments, lush botanical gardens, restaurants, and versatile event spaces. The transformation elevates Fort Thomas as a must-visit landmark.
