St. Kitts and Nevis hosts the inaugural Special Olympics Leadership Academy in the Caribbean, a landmark event for the nation and the entire region.

Sports leaders and Olympic stakeholders celebrate this milestone as the first such academy in the Caribbean. The three-day program gathers regional leaders to sharpen skills in inclusion and advocacy.

Event Highlights and Impact

Ivor Blake, National Director for Special Olympics St. Kitts and Nevis, calls the academy “a powerful gathering of minds, hearts, and leaders dedicated to the mission of inclusion.”

Participants from across the region share visions and refine expertise, proving that “leadership knows no bounds,” Blake states. The event delivers global leadership training standards to the Caribbean, boosting regional unity and program connections.

Workshops Led by Regional Leaders

Caribbean leaders guide workshops on advocacy, governance, and community impact, showcasing their prowess and inspiring pride throughout the region.

Gratitude to Key Contributors

Blake thanks local Special Olympics St. Kitts and Nevis volunteers, skilled facilitators, traveling participants, and Minister of Youth, Employment, Ageing, and Disabilities Isalean Phillip. She opens the academy with a keynote address.
