Three promising young cricketers from St. Kitts and Nevis departed for Antigua on Wednesday morning to join the Leeward Islands Under-15 training camp. They will train alongside other regional talents from Anguilla, Nevis, and Antigua and Barbuda.

Returning Players and New Talent

Colois Duke and Adoni Ali return to the camp after previous representation for St. Kitts. They join newcomer Francis in the delegation, competing for spots in the final 14-member Leeward Islands Under-15 squad.

Training Camp Details

The camp gathers talented Under-15 cricketers from across the Leeward Islands. Coaches provide intensive sessions, allowing players to demonstrate their skills and vie for selection to the team that will compete in the upcoming Cricket West Indies (CWI) Under-15 tournament.

St. Kitts and Nevis cricketer Jacques Taylor leads the coaching staff for the Leeward Islands squad.

St. Kitts Cricket Association Support

The St. Kitts Cricket Association announced the players’ departure and extends best wishes to Duke, Ali, and Francis as they represent the federation at the regional level. The association collaborates with national authorities to develop young athletes’ potential.

Cricket’s Popularity in St. Kitts

Cricket enjoys widespread popularity in St. Kitts and Nevis, with the nation producing standout players who earn international recognition. Recent examples include women’s cricketer Jahzara Claxton. Islanders have voiced strong support for the young trio heading to Antigua.
