St. Kitts welcomed the MS Bolette cruise ship to its shores on Friday, February 27, marking the vessel’s first visit to the island. Operated by Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, the ship arrived with more than 1,300 passengers eager to explore the destination’s culture, charm, and hospitality.

Thriving Tourism and Passenger Excursions

All passengers disembarked to immerse themselves in the island’s attractions. Officials note that the visit proved highly beneficial, particularly for small businesses at Port Zante, boosting local commerce during the call.

Tourism stakeholders hailed the arrival as a sign of expanding partnerships in the sector. The week stood out for cruise tourism, with thousands of visitors arriving even as the nation hosted regional heads of state for the 50th regular meeting.

Official Plaque Exchange Ceremony

The St. Kitts Tourism Authority organized a formal welcome ceremony aboard the ship. Representatives from the Ministry of Tourism, the Tourism Authority, and the ship’s local agents exchanged plaques and tokens of appreciation with the captain.

This milestone underscores the vibrancy of St. Kitts’ tourism industry, which continues to attract growing numbers of cruise ships and international travelers, solidifying its status as a top Caribbean destination.
