The Tricia Greaux Ocean Governance BEACON Award is a newly established honor recognizing excellent girls within the Blue Economic system and Ocean Governance sectors. This award is introduced in partnership with the Division of Gender Affairs – St. Kitts and the Division of Gender Affairs – Nevis.
The award is being launched in commemoration of Worldwide Girls’s Day (IWD), March 8, 2026, and displays a dedication to celebrating girls whose management and contributions have formed marine and maritime areas throughout the Federation. Two BEACON Awards shall be introduced through the Worldwide Girls’s Day ceremonies on each islands.
In regards to the BEACON Award
The Tricia Greaux Ocean Governance BEACON Award acknowledges a lady who has demonstrated distinctive management, sustained success, and affect over a number of years within the marine or maritime sector.
A BEACON awardee is a lady whose mild has guided others alongside the trail of success and served as a supply of inspiration for companions, stakeholders, and establishments throughout the trade. About Tricia Greaux
Ms. Tricia Greaux has a powerful curiosity in sustainable improvement and the conservation and preservation of marine sources. She integrates performing and visible arts with inventive and revolutionary approaches to increase Ocean Literacy and promote the Blue Economic system throughout the Caribbean.
She is an authorized Marine Protected Areas Supervisor, a Sustainable Ocean Initiative Coach, and a graduate of the Maritime SheEO Program. Ms. Greaux lately served as Vice-President for Public Relations and Advertising and marketing of the Girls in Maritime Affiliation Caribbean and as an advisor to the Caribbean Feminist Local weather Justice Motion.
Her contributions have earned her quite a few awards and honors, together with the St. Kitts and Nevis Worldwide Girls’s Day Award for the Blue Economic system and induction into the St. Kitts Pioneering Girls’s Gallery as the primary feminine Marine Biologist from the Federation. She is well known as an eco-feminist chief within the Caribbean and is the primary nationwide to finish the United Nations UNCLOS Strategic Wants Fellowship in Ocean Governance.
