Charlestown, Nevis — October 24, 2025

The Premier of Nevis, the Hon. Mark Brantley, will host a special press conference on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Cabinet Room, located on the second floor of the Social Security Building.

The announcement, organized by the Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) and the Nevis Island Administration (NIA), is expected to unveil a bold new initiative — the introduction of a Special Sustainability Zone on Nevis.

This forward-looking project aims to foster a family-oriented residential community, designed to create thousands of jobs under a “locals first” policy. It represents a major step in the island’s ongoing efforts to balance economic growth with environmental responsibility and social inclusion.

The Special Sustainability Zone is part of the government’s broader commitment to building a resilient, self-sustaining Nevis, positioning the island as a regional model for green innovation, local empowerment, and long-term prosperity.

The press conference will be broadcast live on NTV, YouTube, and Facebook, allowing citizens across the federation and beyond to tune in and learn more about this historic development.
