NIA CHARLESTOWN NEVIS (October 22, 2025)– Nevisian entrepreneur Shobaina Prince, proprietor of Native Radiance, has been named winner of the Entrepreneurial Elite Pitch Competitors, hosted below the Taiwan Worldwide Cooperation and Growth Fund’s (ICDF) Girls’s Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Monetary Inclusion (WEEEFI) Undertaking.

The competitors, held not too long ago on the Nevis Performing Arts Middle (NEPAC), featured six female-led companies vying for the highest prize. Every participant delivered a five-minute presentation and responded to questions from a panel of judges for an opportunity to win the highest prize of a US$3,000 grant.

Undertaking Coordinator Claudia Walwyn defined that this part of the initiative is a continuation of the WEEEFI Undertaking, now working below the Sustainable Island State Part One Undertaking.

“This can be a second iteration of the WEEEFI challenge and the purpose of this challenge was to supply alternatives for men and women to garner entrepreneurial development in abilities areas thereby creating a rise in financial growth,” she mentioned.

“Fuelled by equitable and significant participation within the abilities market right here in St. Kitts and Nevis, the WEEEFI challenge supplied alternatives for ladies’s involvement by way of vocational abilities coaching and entrepreneurship growth counselling. On the finish of varied coaching cohorts, people profit from money grants to both begin up or enhance their companies.”

The Entrepreneurial Elite Award acknowledges three entrepreneurs who’ve efficiently accomplished all phases of the WEEEFI Undertaking and demonstrated excellent innovation and potential for sustainability.

Taking second place was Patricia Haliday, proprietor of Vera SKN Hair and Pores and skin Care, who obtained a US$2,000 grant, whereas third place went to Vincia Alexander for her renewable power microgrid challenge for neighborhood resilience in St. Kitts and Nevis, incomes her a US$1,000 grant.

All six members have been introduced with certificates of participation, whereas the highest three awardees obtained their prizes from Honourable Spencer Model, Minister of Labour within the Nevis Island Administration (NIA), and His Excellency Edward Tao, Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to St. Kitts and Nevis.

Prince’s victory highlights the rising impression of initiatives that empower girls entrepreneurs in Nevis and the broader the Federation, strengthening financial resilience by way of innovation and abilities growth.
