St. Kitts’ Venetta Zakers Secured First Runner-Up in CIBC Caribbean Regional Unsung Heroes Competitors

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS – October 21, 2025 – CIBC Caribbean St. Kitts’ native Unsung Hero winner, Ms. Venetta Zakers, was introduced to have achieved the distinguished place of First Runner-Up within the extremely aggressive 2025 CIBC Caribbean Regional Unsung Heroes competitors. Her achievement highlighted the highly effective impression of native philanthropy and group service originating from St. Kitts and Nevis.

Ms. Zakers, acknowledged for her work together with her non-profit group Zakers Affinity Causes (ZAC), secured the second-place regional honor from a area of nominees throughout ten territories the place CIBC Caribbean operates.

ZAC’s mission is devoted to offering expertise and help to susceptible teams, notably by means of its “Entrepreneurship Behind Bars” (EBB) program, which works with at-risk youth and incarcerated girls.

“Venetta Zakers’ regional success is a second of immense delight for St. Kitts and Nevis,” stated Ms. Eberna Whyte, CIBC Nation Head. “Her dedication to uplifting people by means of ZAC and her progressive EBB program embodies the true spirit of the Unsung Heroes initiative. We are thrilled that her selfless work has obtained this excessive degree of regional recognition, inspiring us all to deepen our group dedication.”

The general 2025 CIBC Caribbean Regional Unsung Hero was awarded to Mrs. Lucinda Smith of Tortola, British Virgin Islands, who volunteers to supply lunch to households in want and helps individuals dealing with severe sickness. Third place was awarded to Joshuanette Francis of Antigua and Barbuda, founding father of Good People 268 Inc., specializing in incapacity consciousness, local weather justice, and youth empowerment.

The highest regional winners have been just lately introduced with their awards at a ceremony in Barbados.
