Basseterre, St. Kitts – June 11, 2025. The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Power continues its investigation into the restoration of a firearm following an incident at Port Zante on Saturday, Might 31, 2025.

At roughly 5:10 a.m. that day, members of the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Power noticed a black Toyota motorcar occupied by three males appearing suspiciously within the Half Moon space. The car was discreetly adopted to the rear of Mau Pau On line casino in Port Zante. As troopers approached, the occupants exited and fled the scene on foot.

A subsequent search of the car revealed an AR-15 rifle and {a magazine} containing twenty (20) rounds of combined calibre ammunition. A multicoloured backpack containing money, a black masks, gloves, a pink Samsung cellular telephone, and different private objects had been additionally recovered.

Crime Scene Investigators forensically processed the car and all recovered objects, together with the firearm and ammunition.

On June 10, 2025, at roughly 3:45 p.m. on the Basseterre Police Station, Mr. Raziq Persaud of Plum Tree, Phillips Village was arrested on two (2) warrants within the first occasion and formally charged for the offences of Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition, dedicated on Might 31, 2025, at Port Zante.
