Basseterre, St. Kitts, April 17, 2025 (PMO)— The Nationwide Meeting of St. Kitts and Nevis right now, April seventeenth, handed a decision introduced ahead by Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, endorsing the Republic of China (Taiwan)’s participation in varied worldwide and regional organizations. The decision, which reaffirms the Federation’s steadfast diplomatic help of Taiwan, was seconded by the Hon. Konris Maynard and subsequently adopted by the Home.

The decision requires Taiwan’s significant participation in key worldwide our bodies, together with the United Nations, World Well being Group, United Nations Conference on Local weather Change, Worldwide Civil Aviation Group, and the Worldwide Felony Police Group.

Presenting the decision in Parliament, Prime Minister Drew acknowledged, “Madam Speaker, I rise to learn on this a part of the Home a decision… to endorse the bid of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to take part internationally in varied organizations.”

The decision highlights Taiwan’s robust diplomatic relationship with St. Kitts and Nevis, and its international contributions to public well being, local weather motion, transnational safety, and aviation.

“The profound friendship between our two nations has grown stronger over time based mostly on shared values, respect for the rule of regulation, democracy, and human rights,” Dr. Drew stated. He added that Taiwan has been “our devoted associate in public well being, in addition to within the battle towards COVID-19,” and acknowledged Taiwan’s efforts towards net-zero emissions and enhancing early warning methods for disasters.

The Prime Minister emphasised Taiwan’s significance to international security and governance.

“Taiwan’s inclusion in mechanisms associated to transnational crime and worldwide aviation is indispensable to safeguarding international safety and reconnecting the world post-pandemic.”
