Carnival Corporation representatives visiting St. Kitts and Nevis for a week met with leadership and staff from the Ministry of Tourism, the St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA) and the St. Kitts Tourism Authority (SKTA).

Officials said the meeting provided an opportunity for the cruise company and local stakeholders to come together for discussions on the planned initiative.

Held on November 3, the talks focused on the cruise line’s proposed start of homeporting and turnaround operations in November 2027. Senior Carnival Corporation executives also discussed the future of the partnership with St. Kitts and Nevis.

During the meeting, the executives outlined the scope of turnaround operations and the requirements involved. Participants also explored how the collaboration could benefit the country.

Discussions included the potential economic opportunities for small businesses and stakeholders working within the tourism sector.

The St. Kitts Tourism Authority shared photographs of the meeting on its social media channels. Those attending had an opportunity to raise concerns about preparations for the planned operations.

Stakeholders were also able to seek clarification on issues relevant to them, helping participants develop a clearer understanding of the initiative.
