St. Kitts and Nevis has welcomed the early return of Air Canada flights, with authorities describing the resumption as an encouraging development for the federation. Officials say the move supports ongoing efforts to establish tourism as a year-round activity.
The return of the service represents a step towards that goal. Authorities view expanded flight services as an important part of building demand for the country’s tourism sector.
Officials also believe greater airlift capacity will create more opportunities within the tourism industry. The St. Kitts Tourism Authority said it is working to strengthen its reach in the Canadian market.
The authority confirmed that it has begun working closely with airline partners and tourism stakeholders to support those efforts.
Stakeholders say their aim is to attract more visitors to the shores of St. Kitts and Nevis. These efforts form part of a broader push to position the federation as a preferred Caribbean getaway.
In previous years, Air Canada’s seasonal service began during the first week of November. Authorities see the earlier October 31 start as a sign of the destination’s growing appeal among Canadian travellers.
The St. Kitts Tourism Authority said the occasion represents more than the return of a seasonal flight. It also marks progress for the country’s tourism sector and highlights the strong partnerships established with Canadian tourism stakeholders.
The first flight of Air Canada Rouge’s 2026–2027 seasonal service arrived in St. Kitts on Saturday, October 31, 2026.
